Programs

Discovery Preschool offers the following programs:

3 Day Program:           9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
2 Day Program:           9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. 
Daycare:                       7:30 a.m. --  5:30 p.m.
Before/After School Care:

 7:30 a.m.– 8:30 a.m.    |       7:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. 
12:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.     |    3:30 -5:30 p.m.

 

 

 

Preschool Programs

Discovery preschool Is open to all children regardless of race, cultural heritage, national origin, marital status, religion, political beliefs, disability, sexual orientation, sex or toilet issues. Our preschool programs are designed to promote age appropriate emotional, physical, intellectual, social and creative growth in our children.

Discovery preschool Programs are structured within a comfortable classroom setting where individual learning style and pace are carefully monitored. We strive to expose the children to a curriculum that is flexible enough to accommodate individual difference in needs, abilities and interest.

Our preschool programs run 2 and ½ hours.
Offered to children 2 years and 9 months through kindergarten age
Discovery provides daycare for children entering kindergarten through third grade.

All Day Programs

For the benefit of working parents, Discovery Preschool provides day care form 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. These children have preschool in the morning and an opportunity to have lunch with their friends. After lunch, that all day children with have some playtime either outside or inside. At rest time, they are encouraged to take a short rest on cots for one hour. No one must rest: however a child who is tired will go to sleep. Books or a quiet activity will be available if needed.

Late Care 

Late Care may be used in emergencies when space is available by calling the director in advance of the start of a program.

Prior to admitting children

Discovery Preschool encourages parents and children’s to visit and meet the teachers before enrollment. Discovery will seek information about each child and families interest in needs. Discovery will request that parents share information about therapeutic, educational, social and support services received by the child so that Discovery can support any transitions and coordinate any services needed. Discovery will conduct an orientation meeting for children and parents before the start of the school year.
